Clear and executable contracts
Okyline relies on contracts by example: a single description, directly understandable by business teams, that defines what is validated, measured and monitored over time. No additional development is needed to control a data flow, raise alerts or get detailed quality dashboards.
Beyond “valid or not”
Every rule of the contract is measured: error rates, completeness, trends over time, down to a step-by-step explanation of each anomaly. Okyline learns the normal behavior of each flow from its history and alerts you as soon as a source drifts. For migrations, quality is tracked run after run until go-live.
Data Quality Gateway
Okyline can simply measure data quality and raise alerts without blocking anything, or act as a data quality gateway: invalid records are set aside with the details of each anomaly, while valid ones continue processing. Errors can be handled without interrupting the flow.
JSON, CSV, XML … : all first-class formats
JSON, JSONL, multi-record CSV, XML, EDI, fixed-width files: all your flows are described the same way and benefit from the same level of control, the same measurements and the same alerts.
Lightweight, fast, and sovereign
Okyline runs anywhere with a CLI of less than 2 MB and an embedded Java library, processing tens of thousands of records per second. The studio and the statistics explorer run locally, without a backend: your data never leaves your environment.

An Okyline contract is not just an internal check: readable and executable by everyone, it applies in the same way for those who produce the data and those who receive it.
It can also fit into a broader data contract approach: the Okyline contract serves as the authoritative definition for the structure and intrinsic quality of the data exchanged (conformity, completeness, internal consistency), while governance (ownership, service levels, access) is handled by your data contract, for example following the ODCS standard.
